My First BET Awards Media Experience:

A Transformative Milestone

Stepping into the world of the BET Experience as credentialed media for the very first time was more than just another photography assignment—it was a defining moment in my creative journey. To stand in rooms filled with some of the industry's most influential artists, creators, and visionaries while documenting history through my lens was both humbling and inspiring.

This experience reminded me why I fell in love with visual storytelling in the first place. Every frame represented more than a photograph; it captured emotion, energy, culture, and unforgettable moments that will live on long after the event ended. From electrifying performances to candid behind-the-scenes interactions, I had the privilege of preserving memories that reflect the spirit of Black excellence, creativity, and celebration.

As a creative from San Diego and now living in Columbus, Ohio, being able to contribute my artistry on a stage of this magnitude affirmed that consistent work, faith, and preparation truly create opportunities. It wasn't just about taking pictures—it was about expanding my vision, building meaningful connections, and proving to myself that I belong in these spaces.

This milestone has ignited a new level of momentum within me. I leave this experience more motivated than ever to continue pushing boundaries, telling impactful stories, and elevating my craft. This is only the beginning, and I'm incredibly excited for what's next.
